AWHESS (AWS Clone in My Style)

A large-scale personal cloud infrastructure project designed to deeply learn OpenStack by building an AWS-equivalent platform from the ground up. Will be deployed on my Dell PowerEdge R630.

  • AWHESS Compute - Virtual machines, auto-scaling groups (OpenStack Nova)
  • AWHESS Functions - Serverless execution with Spring Boot, HTTP triggers, scheduled & event-driven architecture
  • AWHESS Storage - Object storage (S3 equivalent), block storage (EBS equivalent), snapshots & backups
  • AWHESS Network - VPC, subnets, routing tables, security groups, load balancers (OpenStack Neutron)
  • AWHESS Database - Managed PostgreSQL/MySQL, automated backups, read replicas
  • AWHESS Monitoring - Metrics, log aggregation, alarms, dashboards (CloudWatch equivalent)

Project Goal: Master OpenStack through hands-on implementation of a complete cloud platform, understanding distributed systems, virtualization, and cloud architecture at scale.

Comprehensive monitoring infrastructure deployed on Proxmox LXC, combining Wazuh SIEM for security monitoring, Prometheus for metrics collection, and Grafana for visualization. Includes custom PVE exporter for Proxmox hypervisor monitoring.
